Individualized Attention
Samson was available via text whenever I needed it and he spent extra time on our video calls whenever I needed it because he genuinely cared about me. When things that he did weren’t working for me, he was open to making adjustments but he still always pushed me to be better. He designed my own spreadsheets of workouts when I preferred not using an app other clients were using, he helped me work through my own emotional problems and issues that came up, and helped me figure out how to get around potential roadblocks along the way like vacations, friends staying with me, or injuries.

Mental & Emotional Boost
So much of losing weight and transforming my body came down to mental changes. For so many years I had treated my body poorly and I did not believe in myself. Samson helped me learn that I had the power and all the tools to change my body, but that I just had to stop putting myself down and believing that I was going to fail.
03
Injury Prevention
Prior to working with Samson I had experienced multiple injuries, and he worked around those constraints to provide me with workouts that made me stronger and didn’t negatively impact my prior injuries.

The Challenge
Transforming my body in the way I did was simple as cutting calories and working out. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. In order to actually execute I needed Samson’s help and encouragement in meal prepping, balancing eating with a college social life, and understanding how to properly fuel my body. I needed Samson to help me understand that sleep was important and that I could accomplish things that I didn’t think I could do. I had to learn that my workouts needed to be balanced; they couldn’t just consist of not just the things I’m good at or like, but they also had to have stuff that’s challenging for me.

Skill-Building and Education
Not only did I transform my body working with Samson, but I built many emotional coping skills, changed my relationship with food, and learned a ton. I have a much greater understanding of nutrition and strength training.

Accountability
When I first started working with Samson, I remember I was too embarrassed to tell him that I had been failing to follow his plans he had set for me. I was lying about my weight loss and only hurting my own progress. After a few months I decided to come clean to him, and he was not mad at all. Instead, we just worked on how I could be more candid about what was going on in my life. Ultimately, accountability does come down to the individual trying to progress, but it was important to remember that Samson was on my team. Throughout my several years of working with him, he helped me come up with different mechanisms of tracking and accountability so that he could really see how things were going. For example, we set weekly goals and we’d discuss the goals on each video call. Samson would even sometimes check-in with me throughout the week to help me stay on track.
